Seminar results: “Integrated Solutions for Solid Dosage Production – From Machinery to Packaging.”

On March 12, the Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya Hotel hosted a seminar entitled “Integrated Solutions for the Production of Solid Dosage Forms — from Machines to Packaging,” organized by ACG with the information support of the Pharmtech & Ingredients exhibition and the GxP News and Pharmprom.ru portals.
Among the participants of the seminar were more than 100 managers and specialists of pharmaceutical companies producing solid medicinal products from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, Kaliningrad, Kurgan, Tyumen, other cities of Russia, as well as from Belarus.
The event provided a platform for insightful discussions on overcoming some of the significant challenges in TLF production with a focus on efficiency, compliance and innovation.
The speakers of the seminar were leading industry experts with extensive experience in the field of pharmaceutical engineering and packaging: K. A. Narayanan , Vice President of the Technology Support Group at ACG Engineering; Parikshit Ashar , Head of International Business Development at ACG; Deepak B. Bhilare , Technical Service Specialist in the Packaging Materials Division at ACG; Lokesh Sharma , International Business Development Manager in Russia and the CIS at ACG Inspection. The seminar was also attended by Oksana Pryanichnikova , Deputy Director of the ISPE Eurasian Branch, General Director of PQE CIS, and Alexander Belinsky , Member of the Board of Directors of the ISPE Eurasian Branch, Technical Director of PQE CIS.
Opening remarks were given by Ashwin Kharat , Deputy General Manager for International Sales at ACG Engineering, and Dr. Atul Khurana , CEO of Mash-Tech, which represents ACG in Russia.
The moderator of the seminar was Natalia Menshutina , Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering at the D.I. Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, Academician of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW), Academician of the Russian Engineering Academy.
At the workshop, experts shared their insights on manufacturing optimization, packaging optimization, and the use of advanced technologies to improve operational efficiency. Key discussions included strategies for integrating equipment supply, innovations in barrier packaging to reduce costs while maintaining quality, and the latest advances in traceability and track & trace solutions to meet regulatory requirements. Experts also highlighted the role of AI-based defect detection and smart manufacturing in improving supply chain integrity and preventing counterfeiting.
At the end of each session, the experts answered specific questions from the seminar participants, who highly rated the content and organization of the seminar.
