Pharmtech & Ingredients 2024 is even bigger: a record area and a renewed line-up of exhibitors

The 26th International Exhibition of Equipment, Raw Materials and Technologies for Pharmaceutical Production Pharmtech & Ingredients will be held in Crocus Expo IEC on 19-22 November 2024.

This year Pharmtech & Ingredients will be even bigger. 570 companies from 13 countries - Russia, Belarus, China, India, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Hungary, UAE and other countries - have confirmed their participation. More than 200 companies are taking part in the exhibition for the first time. The exposition area is a record 10,800 square metres, occupying three exhibition halls for the first time.

More than 20 companies are participating in the Natural Extracts / Raw Materials for Dietary Supplements sector, including: Arkhangelsk Algae Plant (Russia), PARIFARM (Russia), Technologies Borders (Russia), BENEPURE, BNP (China), Changsha Huir (China), Greensky (China), PIZHOU FUTONG (China), TAICHENG (China), Unibio (China) and others.

The composition of the exhibitors has been significantly renewed. More than 200 companies are taking part in the exhibition for the first time. Stable high interest to the Russian market is observed on the part of participants from China and India. More than 200 Chinese companies and more than 50 companies from India will demonstrate their products. A collective exposition of companies from India will be organised at the exhibition, which will present equipment and raw materials for the production of medicines and
dietary supplements. 

Russian and international manufacturers and suppliers will present new equipment and talk about their achievements over the past year:

The stand of iTechno Group (Russia) will present production and labelling equipment for industry and business. The company supplies electrical equipment, I&C components and consumables for product labelling, as well as offers development and implementation of technical solutions aimed at improving the efficiency, quality and safety of production processes.

Bioqrowing (China) is preparing to showcase its latest products and in-house research results to visitors. As a one-stop solution provider specialising in the research, development, production and sale of probiotics, BioGrowing Co., Ltd. will showcase its Flora-focus® strain series. In addition, starter cultures and innovative application products will be presented to meet the growing and
changing market demand.

ROLSTECH (Russia) will present labelling machines for vials in two configurations "CONDOR" and for ampoules/cartridges "ORLAN", as well as a pack labeller. All machines of the ROLS series are characterised by high speeds and are equipped with an Automatic Adjustment System (AAS). This solution simplifies operation and eliminates the need for additional settings. Such a development of ROLSTECH engineers has no analogues in Russia, and very few in the world.

At the stand of Colimaticrussia (Russia) specialists will present packaging solutions for medical instruments, test systems, syringes and sterile surgical kits. Visitors will be able to evaluate the Italian thermoformer for packaging pharmaceutical products - Colimatic THERA 450, which is one of the leaders of the thermoforming market in the world.

AWTech (Russia) will demonstrate Haier Biomedical's new professional refrigeration, freezing equipment and sterilisation solutions. Modern products for research and industrial laboratories, biotech production facilities and vivaria have such features as hydrocarbon cooling technology, backlighting for viewing contents in models with glass doors, backup battery for control system operation, high/low temperature light and sound alarms, and many others. 

ELEMENT LLC (Russia) will show automated systems for solid-phase chemical synthesis of peptides (SPPS - Solid-phase peptide synthesis) from CSBio company. The participant will also tell about the features of preparative chromatography systems, preparative columns and dynamic axial compression columns, about the properties of technological equipment for pharmaceutical
industry and solvent purification systems by GELAI.

A wide range of high quality products from global manufacturers from the USA, Europe, China and India will be waiting for visitors at the stand of Delta Operating (Russia). The company specialises in the supply of analytical standards, chemical compounds, reagents for various laboratory research, as
well as other important components for the work of scientific laboratories.

KVARCO (Russia) will offer specialists to familiarise themselves with the operation of a modern high-speed machine for blister packaging of any solid dosage forms (tablets, capsules, soft gelatin capsules, dragees, etc.). PVC feeding, moulding and heating, tablet feeding, heat sealing, punching, as well as displaying the current process on the operator panel are performed
automatically.

Alfa-Lab (Russia) will introduce new products in the Puretech® own brand portfolio: disinfectants. The range includes IPA GMP, Peroxid GMP, QAT GMP, as well as two types of sterile disinfectant wipes made of polypropylene and polyester. In addition, at the company's stand it will be possible to test
disposable clothing, gloves and wipes for cleanrooms, wiping materials and much more. 

Pharmtech Group (Russia) will offer new and reconditioned equipment for manufacturing, filling, inspection and packaging of liquid, solid and sublimated dosage forms, ceramic pump-dispensers. The company also manufactures , gassing, filling needles and supplies packaging materials: glass and
plastic vials, stoppers, caps, caps, caps, droppers, tubes, media, filters, thermal
tape.

At the exhibition visitors will be able to see BIOGRUND products (Russia). The company specialises in the production of homogeneous mixtures based on excipients and carrier substances. BIOGRUND supports the pharmaceutical and food additive industries and offers solutions for the development of film casings and fillers for solid oral dosage forms.

BUSINESS PROGRAMME

Pharmtech & Ingredients 2024 will be accompanied by a three-day business programme. The events will be dedicated to current industry topics.

All events will be held in two conference halls, visitors will be able to familiarise themselves with expert speeches, reports and participate in discussion sessions on the most relevant topics of this year within the framework of round tables and Pharmtechprom Forum. 

On the first day of the exhibition, a plenary session entitled "Pharma of the Future: How New Technologies Affect Pharmaceutical Production" will be held, during which industry experts and representatives of pharmaceutical companies will discuss whether global trends in the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies are relevant for the Russian pharmaceutical industry. How are Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers involved in the process of introducing new production technologies? What new technologies are equipment manufacturers ready to offer to improve production processes? When will artificial intelligence take a strong position in medicine and
pharmaceuticals in Russia? The meeting will be moderated by Irina Novikova, CEO of GxP News, co-organiser of the session.

On the same day, the round table "Raw materials for AFS production: how to get rid of import dependence" will be held. What difficulties do full-cycle producers of APS and intermediates face today, do they feel the support of the state? How easy is it for them to compete with foreign producers? How can other companies establish raw material production in Russia? How to make it

The programme of the first day of the exhibition will continue with the presentation of innovative projects in the field of quality of finalists of the competition "GxP-PROFI 2024".

The GxP-Profi competition is organised by the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the support of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and provides an opportunity to demonstrate one's achievements, declare the authorship of innovations and their belonging to the company, receive an independent assessment by experts, win public recognition and compete for a prestigious industry award. 

On 20 November, the round table "Current issues of the Russian dietary supplements market development" will take place. Together with the heads of relevant associations, experts, representatives of large pharmacy chains and companies producing dietary supplements, we will discuss: are all producers of dietary supplements in Russia ready to certify their production according  GMP standards? How will the list of dietary supplements prescribed by doctors be formed? What criteria will be used for selection? What documents do dietary supplements need to have in order to be sold on marketplaces? What sales rules do different marketplaces have? Should marketplaces conduct incoming control and be more attentive to the technical documentation of dietary supplements? On the same day there will be a round table "The role of the technical customer in the creation of objects of the pharmaceutical industry". During the discussion we will discuss the role and functions of the technical customer, practical recommendations when designing objects of the pharmaceutical industry, legal aspects of the technical customer, planning and deadlines. For the first time at the exhibition on 21 November, the round table "The market of pharmaceuticals for veterinary use: its peculiarities, problems and prospects" will be held. The round table participants will discuss whatmsupport is already available from the government and what support is needed, and answer the questions: how to increase the investment attractiveness of the industry and how to ensure its further development?

On this day, the business programme of the exhibition will be continued by the round table "Foreign Economic Activity in the Pharmaceutical Industry: Customs, Legal and Tax Aspects". Experts will discuss key issues related to foreign trade activities in the pharmaceutical industry, including the specifics of customs regulation, legal nuances and tax obligations. Pharmtechprom Forum will be held on 20 and 21 November. The event, which traditionally serves as a platform for presenting the latest pharmaceutical production technologies, this year includes four sessions. Experts from Russian and foreign companies, including NC "MTX" GC "ECOS-1", LLC "ArtLife", GC "Double V", LLC "KAMA", LLC "FIZLABPRIBOR", LLC "Inspirem Rus", LLC "BIOTECHNO", Quehenberger Logistics RUS, OPM Biosciences, ML-group and others will present new equipment, talk about raw materials and technologies for pharmaceutical production, as well as related processes and packaging solutions for end products. The forum programme will be opened with an analytical report by Sergey Shulyak, General Director of DGM-Group - "Overview of the Russian pharmaceutical market".
