The main heroine, which will undoubtedly attract the attention of all visitors to stand C2097, will be the ultra-modern energy-saving supply and exhaust unit TBF1220BHW in a hygienic design. And it's not just about its truly attractive design and internal neon lighting. The device performs all possible types of air treatment today: cooling, heating, maintaining its stable temperature and humidity, humidification, drying, cleaning with filters and sterilization with an ultraviolet lamp.

The ventilation unit fully complies with the most stringent European requirements - German standards DIN 1946-4-2018 "Ventilation and air conditioning. Part 4. Ventilation in buildings and medical offices" and VDI 6022-1-2018 "Hygienic requirements for ventilation and air conditioning systems and units". This is evidenced by certificates from highly authoritative international organizations - Eurovent and TÜV SÜD.

According to the Eurovent standard (EN 1886-2009 "Ventilation of buildings. Air cleaning devices. Mechanical properties and measurement methods"), the mechanical strength of the unit's casing corresponds to the highest class D1. It is ensured by stiffening ribs placed along the entire perimeter of the casing.

The air leakage rate during operation of the unit also corresponds to the highest class L1 of the EN 1886-2009 standard. It is only 0.029%, which is 66 times less than the threshold value set by the national standard of the PRC! This was achieved thanks to a special labyrinth seal developed and patented by TICA. It allows for the perfect joining of adjacent panels and the elimination of even the smallest gaps between them.

To prevent leakage, the joints are equipped with rubber thermal inserts. In addition, along with the sealing tapes, they perform a protective function, separating the internal metal parts of the ventilation unit from the external ones. This helps to avoid the appearance of so-called cold bridges. As a result, condensation, which is one of the main causes of corrosion, does not form on the joints and the body of the device. Of course, according to the "Temperature bridge (cold bridge)" indicator, the TBF1220BHW supply and exhaust unit also belongs to the highest class TB1.

 

The only indicator by which the device meets the second class is the heat transfer coefficient (T2), which is explained by the presence of a large number of metal parts. However, due to the use of Rockwool stone (basalt) wool, placed between the walls of the double-walled panels of the body, this indicator is also close to ideal. The thickness of the panels is 50 mm, and they are completely filled with stone wool. What is especially important is that it does not support combustion and does not emit toxic gases during a fire at the place of installation of ventilation equipment, and therefore belongs to the maximum fire resistance class according to the EN 13501-1 - A1 standard (non-combustible materials).

The inner walls of the panels are perfectly smooth, as required by the German hygiene standard DIN 1946-4-2018. As a result, dust does not accumulate on the walls, and they are easy to clean and disinfect. The inner walls can be painted using electrostatic spraying or made of stainless steel. The outer walls are painted with anti-corrosion powder paint with a layer thickness of 80 µm (according to the DIN 1946-4-2018 standard, the thickness must not be less than 60 µm). In addition, the base of the ventilation unit is coated with anti-corrosion paint. The sealing strips that line the service doors do not promote the growth of bacteria.

In addition to the hygienic design, the main advantage of the TBF1220BHW air handling unit and other Air Prowess series models is a wide range of functional sections and built-in components. The modular design allows you to optimize the device for any area of ​​application or task. Its key element is a centrifugal fan with an electronically commutated motor manufactured by Ebmpapst (Germany). The efficiency of this brushless synchronous motor with built-in electronic control reaches 90% or more. In addition, it is characterized by low noise and vibration. It does not have a belt drive, which means it does not collect dust and is not a source of it, and is easy to clean if necessary.

The water cooler frame is made of stainless steel, the distance between the fins is at least 2 mm. Copper tubes are fully compliant with RoHS 2 standards. The heat exchanger selection software is developed by TICA and certified by the American Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Institute (AHRI).

 

The water cooler section is equipped with a drip collector and a drain pan made of stainless steel. The drip collector is designed to prevent condensate from entering the air duct, and the pan is for collecting and draining it. The heat exchanger with the drip collector is pulled out from the side along the guides, so that their maintenance can be carried out without removing other panels or sections.

The TBF1220BHW air handling unit is equipped with a highly efficient rotary recuperator. It is an aluminum foil wound on a shaft with alternately smooth and corrugated sides, due to which air channels are formed through which the supply and exhaust air flows pass through the heat exchanger. This allows you to cool fresh air with the used exhaust air in the warm season, and cool it in the cold season. As a result, energy savings can reach 30% or more.

Of course, it is impossible to imagine a hygienic ventilation unit without modern high-quality filters. In particular, it can be equipped with pocket and cassette filters of various cleaning classes - coarse, fine, highly efficient. For coarse and fine cleaning, filters of classes G4-F7 are used, for highly efficient - H10-H14. At the customer's request, TBF1220BHW can be equipped with an electrostatic filter that removes from the supply or recirculated air not only dust particles, soot, volatile organic compounds, but also aerosols, oily mist. All this is especially important for maintaining the health of workers in pharmaceutical production, where, for example, bulk drugs are manufactured.

 

Professional software certified by AHRI is used to select a ventilation unit, determine the capacity of its heat exchanger, fan and other components.
