Veterinary Pharmaceutics: EAEU, Innovations, Drug Circulation

With just two months left until the Pharmtech&Ingredients exhibition, we continue to share what we have in store for attendees of the exhibition's business program.

Human health is inextricably linked to animal health and the environment. Yet, veterinary pharmaceuticals are overshadowed by human ones: a smaller market, less stringent regulation, a shortage of innovative drugs, and a heavy dependence on imports.

The session "Animal Health = Human Health: Challenges and Drivers of Veterinary Pharmaceuticals" addresses the most pressing issues facing veterinary drug manufacturers.

Key topics for discussion:

• The EAEU transition period – new deadlines. The original deadline was set for December 31, 2027, but the adopted amendments extend it until the end of 2030. Let's look at the dynamics: how the transition will occur, what stages need to be completed, and what to pay attention to now.

• Innovations in veterinary farming. A review of promising development areas in the industry and their connection to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture's federal project "Animal Husbandry," which has already been launched. We'll examine how new technologies are being integrated into government policy and the impact this has on producers.

• Reform of legislation governing the circulation of veterinary drugs. We will understand why the regulatory framework in this area is currently less developed than similar requirements for human medications, where the key gaps lie, and how to close them.
